Dr Ray Chaboyer, Board ChairStrategic Lead - Patient Focused Initiatives Dr Ray Chaboyer is a member of York Factory Cree Nation and was raised in Churchill, Manitoba. A graduate of the University of Manitoba Medical School, Dr Chaboyer worked as an ER physician in Winnipeg and as a fly-in physician in northern Cree communities. Since relocating to BC, Dr Chaboyer has worked as a full-time family physician in North Vancouver. His special focus in his work involves improving the health status of First Nations individuals. His primary practice is out of Mount Seymour Medical and he also provides clinical service to the Tsleil-Waututh community. Dr Chaboyer is the Board Chair of the North Shore Division and is a spokesman for the First Nations and Aboriginal Primary Care Network. He is also the Strategic Lead for Patient-Focused Initiatives, and Physician Lead for the GP/GI Working Group. When not working, he enjoys an active fitness-oriented lifestyle, is an avid hockey player and enjoys indulging in his passion for guitar and music. |

Dr Ruth Campling, Past ChairStrategic Lead - Physician Focused Initiatives Dr Campling has lived and worked on the North Shore for the past 38 years and spent the majority of her career working as a full-service family physician, including obstetrics. She became involved with the North Shore Division through project work, sitting on the GP/Ortho and GP/Hospitalist working groups. These roles led to further involvement with the Division – as Chair of the Board of Directors from July 2016 to Sept 2018, and Chair of the Interdivisional Collaborative Services Committee from 2016 to 2018. Dr Campling is currently the Strategic Lead for the Division's Patient Focused Initiatives and sits on the Patient Medical Home/ Primary Care Network Steering Committee. She was appointed to the GPSC as the Vancouver Coastal Physician Representative in 2019. |

Dr Dedeshya Holowenko, Member at LargeDr Holowenko is a family doctor practicing on the North Shore. She is originally from Winnipeg; she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Winnipeg, being awarded the gold medal in chemistry, and completed her Medical Degree, Family Medicine Degree and Emergency Medicine Certification at the University of Manitoba. Dr Holowenko was Chief Resident of my family practice residency program and sat on our Provincial Association of Interns and Residence (Parim) while training in Manitoba. She was also board member of CAIR – the Canadian Association of Interns and Residents. As a family doctor, she was involved in the development of guidelines for establishing certified Electronic Medical Records standards in Manitoba. Her clinic was involved in pilot projects and development of chronic care initiatives. Dr Holowenko specializes in women’s health and was faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Manitoba, where she was involved in teaching both OBGYNE as well as family medicine resident in their women's health clinic. Dr Holowenko is also involved in teaching Med 1 and Med 2 family practice residents. |
