Kimberley is a small town nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. With its family friendly ski resort, the town is a favourite amongst families in the winter. During the summer months residents and tourists enjoy many of the recreation activities the town and area has to offer. Fly fishing, swimming in crystal clear lakes, hiking nature trails and scaling mountains; all part of living and visiting the area.

Many people move to the area to raise a family in a safe, small town environment, with tons of activities available for recreations and adventure. Additional shopping is available in nearby Cranbrook and the Rocky Mountain International Airport offers a gateway to the world, all within 20 minutes drive.

There is one family clinic in Kimberley and provides an option for obstetric care.

Kimberley falls within the catchment area of the East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH). EKRH is a 77 bed regional referral centre, serving a catchment area of approximately 80,000 people. The 4 floor facility offers 24/7 emergency services with 16 beds, a new 6 bed ICU, a full range of medical and surgical services including; Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pathology, Psychiatry and Radiology and Urology.
