The Columbia Valley is located within the “The Valley of a Thousand Peaks”.  It lies in between the Canadian Rockies and Purcell Mountain ranges.  Invermere is small town within the Columbia Valley providing great outdoor adventures.  Invermere is close to two natural hot springs: Fairmont Hot Springs and Radium Hot springs, providing fun for the whole family.  Panorama ski resorts will keep you busy with some world class skiing in the winter and great downhill biking in the summer.  Lake Windermere is right at your doorstep providing both winter and summer fun.

Medical Community:

The Invermere & District Hospital (IDH) has 8 acute care beds (2 with heart monitors), 1 Labour & Delivery room, a cast room and 47 residential beds. There is also a 12 stretcher emergency department on site which is particularly busy during the winter ski season and summer vacation period, when there is an influx of visitors from all over.

Invermere has two family clinics.  Physicians will provide Emergency Room coverage and obstetric care is optional.
