Nestled in the southeast corner of British Columbia, between the Canadian Rockies and the Purcell Range of Mountains, Cranbrook is the largest city in the East Kootenays with a population of 20,047. Cranbrook is located along the Trans-Canada highway and serves as the commercial center for the East Kootenay region.

Cranbrook is located on the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation. It is a family-oriented town bustling with artists and small businesses and is known as the sunniest place in BC. It takes just minutes to get to get to excellent golf courses, beautiful lakes, world class mountain biking and hiking trails, an international airport and is only a 30 minutes drive from Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Medical Community:

EKRH is a 77 bed regional referral centre, serving a catchment area of approximately 80,000 people. The 4 floor facility offers 24/7 emergency services with 16 beds, a new 6 bed ICU, a full range of medical and surgical services including; Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pathology, Psychiatry and Radiology and Urology.

This community offers four family physician clinics and positions include optional obstetric care.
