Health Connections Clinic - Addiction Medicine
The Health Connections Clinic (HCC) in Courtenay is looking for a Family Physician with Addictions Medicine skills (or keen interest in training) to join it's team. Work includes in-clinic sessions and physician outreach both of which are sessional pay.
The HCC is located in the Comox Valley Nursing Centre and provides team-based primary care for Comox Valley residents who don't have a regular family doctor and may have complex medical and/or socio-economic needs, including mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, poverty, and chronic disease.
This team-based opportunity is in the meaningful and exciting field of addictions medicine and primary care for vulnerable populations. Work is also available with the Addiction Medicine Consult Service at the Comox Valley Hospital.
Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA): Recruitment Incentive - $10,000; Fee Premium - 6.93%; Annual Flat Fee – $6,968; Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in years 3 & 4 in the community, increasing to a maximum of $4,400/annum after 4 years. Eligibility is processed through Vancouver Island Health Authority.
