The Comox Valley is one of the Island’s best-kept secrets and includes the unique communities of Comox (a relaxed seaside town), Courtenay (a bustling urban city), Cumberland (a young and artistic village), and the idyllic rural areas from Fanny Bay in the South to Black Creek in the North. The Comox Valley is welcoming and family-oriented with many of the amenities of a larger city.
The Valley enjoys short, mild winters and warm, dry summers with endless adventure that includes alpine skiing, deep sea diving, golfing, sailing, kayaking, hiking and biking. We host over 50 annual festivals, with the local Sid Williams Theatre providing year-round performing arts. For shopping, go to 5th street in Courtenay for great boutique shops and visit the local restaurants, farmers market and vineyards for the renowned local food scene.
The physician community comprises 17 full-service medical clinics, three walk-in clinics and a military base clinic.
