Joanne has worked with the BDFP on a variety of initiatives since September 2014. Prior to retiring (2010), Joanne held senior positions in social service organizations, including 13 years as CEO of SHARE Family & Community Services, a multi-service agency in the Tri-Cities. Joanne has an MA in Psychology and also trained as a family therapist.

Joanne brings many years of community expertise, experience, and interest with a focus in mental health. She is excited to work with the Division and the physicians we support to deepen their relationship with other health and social service professionals to best serve the Burnaby community.

In her free time, Joanne and her husband Marv enjoy motorcycle travel in Asia and sailing both locally and overseas. She has recently taken up knitting and continues to be an avid reader.
