Dr. Charlene Lui has been a Burnaby family physician since becoming a doctor in 1996. Until 2012, she ran a full-service practice and is now focusing on maternity and newborn care. Passionate about family medicine, Charlene has been a member of the Burnaby Division’s board since its inception in 2011 and took on the role of chair in 2012.
Charlene has recently been awarded the "Canadian Certified Physician Executive" (CCPE) designation for her work in physician leadership. She is the Fraser Divisions representative to the GPSC, the SGP representative to the Representative Assembly of Doctors of BC, the Co-Chair of the Collaborative Services Committee in Burnaby, and the Co-Chair of the Primary Care Network Leadership Steering Committee. She has been a clinical instructor for UBC Faculty of Medicine Undergraduate Medicine and Family Practice Residency Programs for 22 years.
