March has seen the ​beginning of a new technology being adopted across the physician community. MBMD (MicroBlogging MD) – the secure messaging app that supports communication with consultations by sharing data, instructions, photos, patient information and more - officially launched at RIH on March 15.

  • Remember Beer with Cardiology from last May? We're hosting a similar event with Internal Medicine on Monday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Frick & Frack Taphouse (577 Victoria St). Register online > 

  • Our spring member engagement will be on Wednesday, May 30. Stay tuned for details. 

  • It's never too early... The​ 2018 Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, September 17.

2018-2020 Strategic Plan

The 2018-2020 Strategic Plan has been finalized and includes input from members, partners, and staff. This plan continues to move forward work that was started and remains a priority of members. It also identifies new areas of focus as the landscape of primary care is changing.

Specialist Referrals

New Specialists

There have been a number of specialists who are new to the community, including general internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, gastroenterology, and others. We are in the process of loading their profiles on Pathways to help you make accurate referrals.

Residential care incentive reminder

Don't forget to submit your invoice

Consistent with the guidelines you received when you registered, this is our reminder for you to submit your fourth quarterly billing for the period January 1 to March 31, 2018. Click here for the invoice. We will process payment within 15 days of receipt. Pathways

Pathways Update

The new and improved Community Services section is now live. It offers advanced search and filtering functions. You can search and filter by 'modality of services' (i.e. services provided by phone, online, in home, etc.).

The First Link Program provides formal outreach to clients to provide support, information, and education along the dementia journey so that quality of life is improved for the person with dementia and their care partners.
